The Rams Are Moving Back To Los Angeles

Finally the Rams are coming back to Los Angeles where they started out. Due to low fan support and bad attendance in St.louis the Rams wanted to leave.

Three NFL franchises applied to move to L.A. the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders. All 32 team owners voted and the only team that was approved was the Rams. The franchise owner Stan Kroenke will have to pay a fee of $550 million to move.

The Rams were based in Los Angeles from 1946 until 1995 when they headed for St.louis. Stan Kroenke had been working on this move to L.A. for over two years.

LVHS junior Joe Thompson said, “I wish the Rams would have stayed and tried to win it in St. Louis”.

The Rams had most of their successes in L.A., making the playoffs 21 times and winning the 1951 NFL championship. They are hoping that their past success will return and that they will receive a lot of fan support for the teams return.

The last few weeks have been very tough for St. Louis Rams fans. Waiting helplessly to see if the Rams would move to L.A. or stay. Fans in St.louis are upset that the team is moving away so quickly. Fans even presented the matter at the NFL town hall for the Rams to stay.

By 2019 the Rams new stadium in Los Angeles will be built and they should be fully moved in ready for their bright new future. Will moving to L.A. end up helping or hurting the Rams?
