Kasich's Viewpoints

Kasich’s point of view on a lot of problems tend to seem very understandable. A lot of people are debating on who they want to vote for. We will give the benefits and and disadvantages of John Kasich’s ways he is going to fix the United States. We are going to determine why John Kasich is a good candidate for America.

Background on candidate

He is the grandson of coal miners and immigrants and a prodigy politician who talked his way into a meeting with then-President Richard Nixon at age 18. He won his first election at age 24 (state senate). John Kasich spent two decades in Congress and won re-election as Ohio governor by 30 points last year. He helped write the country’s first balanced budget in decades in 1997, worked as a television contributor for Fox, wrote three New York Times bestsellers and once was kicked out of a Grateful Dead concert for trying to get on stage.

In recent polls, Kasich is at 11% leaving him in 4th place in the Republican Presidential primary. He is a religious person goes to church and goes by the word of God in everything he does. However, he tends to be an aggressive person in general to the public.

Kasich on Immigration

A lot of people was immigrants to be deported to where they came from, even if they did it legally. But Kasich has another idea on what should happen to the immigrants: “If they'v

e been law abiding, then I think they should stay.” He also says this about immigrants: “No, I think that a lot of these people here are some of the hardest working, God-fearing, family oriented people you could ever meet.”

Gun Control

He voted for the 1994 federal ban on weapons and said that lawmakers should have a cooling-off period after high-profile acts of violence before trying to pass new laws. Kasich noted that the two students who killed 13 people and themselves last month in Littleton, Colo., violated 19 existing gun laws. “There were already a bunch of laws,” Kasich said. “The kids didn’t pay attention to the laws. I don’t think new laws will solve all the problems.” Kasich just thinks that we shouldn't try to make any more laws for now until people get it together. This “Cooling-off” period is giving people more time to take advantage of the laws now. If we don't do something now then nothing is going to ever change with this system. People keep finding ln the system.

Taxes and Regulations

The conservative movement is all about opportunity. It is about lower taxes. It's about balanced budgets. It's about less regulation. And it's about sending power, money and influence back to where we live so we can run America from the bottom up. Once we have the power and the money and the influence, each of us have a responsibility to reach out and to rebuild our families, make them stronger, and connect our neighborhoods. rebuilding america will not take as less time as you think. It is a work in progress but we will need to start with the big problems and solve them, then focus on all the smaller problems. We need to start somewhere.

In conclusion I would recommend you to research any questions or concerns that you have about this candidate, John Kasich. A recommendation for a resource is PBS news. The big idea is to understand every single fact about the candidate you choose so you know the whole story. Who do you want to be for president?
