Hillary vs Trump
Over the years of politics there has been so many different ways to advertise a candidate. However, the most popular way is ads through mail or social media.
Introduce the ad
In the political ad, “A lifetime of service… A self serving life” it is focusing on trying to portray Hillary Clinton as a kid-oriented candidate and Donald Trump as a candidate only caring for himself and not the people. On the Hillary side at the top, it shows her throughout her years speaking to different audiences with most of them having kids in the background. This is trying to pursue the reader that she is really “for the kids”, but does not include what she is saying exactly in them. The big picture in the middle on her side has her with six different kids smiling very big. Most of the kids in this picture look as if they are being forced to smile, while Clinton has a huge smile on her face trying to advocate herself. Most of the kids are also wearing a blue sticker, although it does not say what the stickers say, the reader may assume it is advocating her campaign. In the description it touches on three main topics that Hilary obviously this is the most important regarding kids. First, “Fought for the education of kids” and explains how this varies of kids with disabilities and how she worked at for a Children's
Defense Fund instead of a bigger firm after completing law school. Something that was very interesting to me, is with each canidate thier is a few major things they are known with advocating for. Trump is known for building a wall, hatred for illegals, and downgrading women. Everybody knows Hilary for exposing emails, her husband cheating on her, and being a compulsive liar. I have never heard her advocating for children until this ad; I think she planned to do this with the children because this is a huge concern for voters--the future of their children or grandchildren.
On the other side of the ad, it is degrading Hilary's opponent, Donald Trump. At the top of his side it has pictures of his building “Trump Tower”, and an airplane with his name on it. This is showing the reader he is invested in money and expensive things; also that he is all about himself by the pictures having everything with his name on it.
Now in the middle it has a picture of Donald Trump making almost a mean face, not a pleasant happy face as , “an canidate want want as a picture representing themselves. At the top of this picture it also says, “Lifetime of serving himself”, indicating that he does not care about the people only himself and his reputation. The facts on Trump's side say things such as, “was sued for housing discrimination based on race” enforcing the facts that are frequently brought up that Donald Trump is racist. The second one says, “Made millions on projects while stiffing or underpaying the contractors who did the work” this is inferring to the audience that Donald Trump does not respect the middle or lower class of people by the way he has treated his workers in the past before running for president.
Third one says, “Preyed on single mothers, veterans, and widows who paid for degrees from his Trump University scam” whoever made this article intentionally put this in here because Trump is no dealing with this issue when going to court the same day as election day. This is showing that Trump thinks these people are uneducated because they fell into his scam and are uneducated considering they were going to his University to better their education. Last fact says, “Used charitable gifts to his foundation to settle his own legal problems” which is telling us, the reader, that he has no problem taking our money and only wants to better his.
